There's still time to register for the home-renovation seminar that the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association sponsors every autumn. This year's seminar will occur on Tuesday evening.
"Homeowners considering renovations can obtain creative ideas from the Internet, television, newspapers and magazines, but careful planning is needed to demystify the renovation process," the association's Peter Simpson said in a news release.
Subjects on this year's seminar include: design and planning; contracts; contractor selection; permitting and inspections; and living through a renovation.
Exhibitors include more than 50 renovators and suppliers of home-improvement products and services.
Admission is free, but the seminar organizers ask that seminar-goers register, at gvhba.orgonline or by calling, on Monday or Tuesday, 778-565-4288.
